Alton Town Center Food Drive: Alton Town Center and Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches, Inc., collected 70 tote bags filled with food and 24 frozen turkeys during a food drive earlier this month.
A handful of businesses at the lifestyle and entertainment complex on Donald Ross Road helped collect nonperishable items during the 10-day Thanksgiving Food Drive, which will help feed families in need.
Participating tenants included Brain Balance of Palm Beach Gardens, Deka Lash, LA Fitness, Massage Luxe, Raw Juce, Revive and Selfie Salonbar.
“A huge thank you to Alton Town Center and the participating shops and patrons for this wonderful donation of food for the families we serve,” said Matt Constantine, Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches’ chief executive. “Adopt-A-Family recognizes the importance of sharing a special meal together during the Thanksgiving holiday, but also the stress that it creates when someone is unable to afford one.
“Providing all of the necessities to prepare a Thanksgiving feast alleviates some of the pressure our families are facing and allows them to come together and simply enjoy.”
Adopt-A-Family works to strengthen families with children in their efforts to achieve stability and self-sufficiency by providing access to services.
